Compare Adobe Captivate Prime vs Articulate 360. Read full review. Some success running Storyline 360 on my Mac with Parallels and VMWare Fusion,. Re: Comparing VMware Fusion and Parallels Desktop Pat Lee Jun 6, 2007 9:23 PM ( in response to wdeboer ) This should only happen if you tell VMware Fusion to take over the Bluetooth Adapter, otherwise the Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse should work just fine. I run Parallels Desktop 10 on a MacBook Pro Retina plugged into a 27' screen and was streaming Forza 6 demo to the Mac running a Windows 10 VM only a few hours ago. Mac users tend to prefer Parallels over VM Ware but I think they're both about the same price now and par on par feature wise. I wouldn't want to play some heavy FPS games like Titanfall or COD Advanced Warfare as I do notice the lag both on a regular PC or a VM streaming, over WiFi it's about 0.5-1 sec. If you have the PC/VM side by side next to your Mac you'll notice a difference, if not then you may not notice much difference. Certainly though I did notice earlier on when I was playing that I was bouncing off the barriers a bit when streaming vs non-streaming but it's certainly do-able. ![]() Some people say a wired connection is better. My MacBook Pro Retina is a late 2013 model with 8gb RAM and I have 2GB allocated to the VM as well as 2 of the CPU cores. I did it with the Win10 Tech Preview. I ran it both in VMWare Fusion on my MacBook Air (1.3Ghz i5, 4GB RAM) and in VMWare Workstation on my desktop, where the VM had 2GB of RAM and on my desktop, accelerated graphics. It worked well enough, once you sort out some of the VM specific stuff. I had to set the emulated USB controller to USB 2.0 before my controller would work. I had to set the network to Bridged so it would connect properly. But after I got it running, it ran well. Not quite as well as it does on my box running Windows 10, but certainly well enough for a casual session. I tried streaming from both Virtualbox (free) and VMWare. Sound stutters from Virtualbox and it's aloso harder to setup. VMWare fared much better but there's noticeable lag -- you can reduce it by setting the streaming quality lower but on a 27' monitor that would look terrible. Dual booting into Windows 10 is the way to go imho as I can stream in high quality with just a little lag. I am all gigabit hardwired, btw. I found that the best way to test controller lag is to play Powerstar Golf. You can see how bad the lag is when you press a button and see how quickly the swing/stroke bar reacts. Parallels, imho, is not worth it since they went to a subscription model. The way they integrate Windows with OSX is pretty sweet though. Now that I’ve installed an SSD into my MacBook Pro, everything is really responsive. At least, anything that’s running directly off my SSD drive. And it’s especially important to note that it was quite a task deciding what goes on the SSD and what gets ‘relegated’ into the now much slower 7200 RPM HDD. Note: If you’re wondering what I mean by having an SSD and HDD on my MacBook Pro, jump ahead and read how I’ve Yes. SSD is very expensive in terms of it’s real estate and you simply do not want to put just about any junk you have that’s not worth it’s space there. Therefore, you would want to make sure if it’s really worth plunking the tens of GBs worth of VM image onto your precious SSD storage. Just to clarify were the test conditions: A) 1.
